Lunar eclipse from Hawaii
Hi Astronuts,
The eclipse occured here at 1 am with the Moon just past the zenith. It was one of the darkest eclipses I have ever seen. Using my Stowaway with my Sony digital camera it took a 2 second

IF you have APCC, then use the Meridian tab and set the Meridian Delay to whatever is needed for the object to be on the WEST side of the yellow line, in your example, at least plus one

Why not? you can limit the arc to a specific portion of the sky using max and min hour angle
Does that help?

Re: Added color exposures to M77 galaxy group
Chris, thanks. I didn't think through that it was a OSC camera and forgot about the microlens flares. I'm so used to mono + filterwheel.

Re: Added color exposures to M77 galaxy group
You can usually avoid this selecting a different algorithm for integration, but it is a trade off with resolution.
Very nice field, even if the b&w version already had is charm.

Thanks Mike. I'll try the cable swap. I'm running APCC 1.9.4.3 2/27/2022.

Hi Andrew,
The messages mean exactly what they say. In most cases, they are caused by loss of connectivity between the sensor and the control box. Please check all connections. Swap the RA and DEC

I can't speak to what you imagine "pre-coffee" but the kaf8300 chip does produce a little diffraction spike,, cause by microlens diffraction.

Pretty good. I wonder if it is the Mach2 vs my Mach1 that makes the difference or is it the modeling.
I can't do dec arc tracking because of trees.
