Hi,
I have just received my Mach2GTO and was assembling everything.
I had read something about this but cannot find it anymore.
I have fitted my shaft carefully with the DEC down as Roland advised

I use a Seahorse case (model 920) which by chance precisely fits the Mach2 configured in the 43 degree north position with the 10" saddle and ADATRI attached. I added a layer of the A-P high-density

Get one of these and slip it over the end of the dew shield, leaving everything in place. You may need to stretch the elastic a bit but this works great.

I didn't feel like hauling the telescope and mount out to the observatory tonight, so instead downloaded a free trial of Maxim DL. Nothing special about the install. Just followed the instructions

I say quit removing the Hyperstar and cam. For lots of reasons.
Make up a custom draw-string bag to put over the end of the scope, Hyperstar and cam.

My plan for the 1100 GTO AEL is two Zarges aluminum cases. They are a little larger than the size of the shipping boxes so I was able to reuse the foam, with a little additional padding.

My choice of the pelican 1640 was based on an attempt to keep all the mount equipment together, protected and dust free. I go to a Bortle 1 site at a 9,200 ft elevation and clear
