Hi team,
if I make a detailed all sky model with my FSQ106 at 530mm is it still valid (ie work) if I use a reducer (~382mm) or extender (~848mm).
if so other than a recal is there anything else I need

Make sure that the connector retaining nut is on tight and the connector cannot move when you attach the cables.

What people dont see here is that you spent many many hours dialing this thing it, from PP adapters to focuser swaps to refining collimation, etc... This is not what someone would get

That is a symptom of a motor connection that is broken somewhere along the path from the CP5 to the motor. One of the 4 leads is not making contact. It could be:
1) in the RA cable
