Re: NGC 6883, NGC 6871, Sharpless 2-101, et al. Wide Field with Mach2
Jim & Todd,
Thanks for taking a look. Hopefully this won’t turn out to be my only opportunity this new moon cycle, but the forecast for next week isn’t promising.

Re: Mach2 USB
So that means that binning 2x2 means that image downloads will be slower than 1x1. Unintuitive. probably not noticeable in practice because downloads are saved to disk and that's going to be faster

mDNS in the new CP firmware
I just noticed in the P02-13 release notes[1] that the mDNS responder feature of the embedded OS is now put into use. This is great. Kudos to Mike Hanson, I would guess?

Hi
I talked to Mike. Since this is a non encoder mount he doesn't have any ideas.

Hi All,
Was able to get out for a nice night under the stars. I captured a wide field shot (image radius of 3.67 degrees) using the Mach2 unguided with 120 second

Re: Mach2 USB
Ça fait plaisir, Carl! 🙂
If you ever happen to design ones that would fit the back of the RA axis and the top Dec plate of the Mach2, please let me know (contact me privately), I'd buy them right

Re: APPM always fails at meridian: Egg on face
Tom,
I don't think this will solve the problem but you should upgrade to APCC Pro 1.9.4.3. Even if you do not have a subscription renewal there are bug fixes in that build. Unless Mike H from A-P

If you don’t have physical port constraints on the NUC, USB from the CP5 is going to work fine. It is 2.0 so the length limit is not a problem.
As for your initial question about going Ethernet

Re: Eggy Stars with Polar Axis Correction
Ok, but what I really want to know is: how do you use PinPoint to make APCC models?
In making an all sky model you presumably slew to lots of points, so the plate solves would presumably be blind.
