Re: Things NOT to do
I don't have time to fart around. I have mounts and scopes to build. Built two Mach2 mounts today and will have a couple of 130's started. Marj and I work on weekends and holidays, yes.

There isn't much that can corrode. Everything is either anodized aluminum or stainless steel. That includes all the nuts and bolts. You might get flecks of rust on the counterweight shaft and

There are two mesh points in the 400. One is the worm gear to worm wheel mesh. It sounds like you have that tight enough. You can judge that by putting slight pressure on the end of the scope in both

This may be an issue with the encoders causing an oscillation. The AP staff can help you adjust the dampening parameters.

My Mach2 shows a similar behavior.
I found that changing the counterweight position to offset the balance cancels it out.

The expossure is with tracking ONLY PHD2 was not used, I misspoke when creating the subject line. It should read "while tracking".
The streaked stars are a rusult of the mount rocking back and forth.

Hi Steven
is that exposure with tracking off? If so, have you analyzed it to determine the rocking error?
are you using a model?
