AP1600 and Lunar Tracking Rate
Tonight, I was using a 16" RC at f/6.4 with a full frame sensor to watch the eclipse. I also had a 91mm scope riding parallel to provide a wider FOV. In the 16", I could see about 95% of the lunar

Camera selection in Pempro
Mr. Gralak,
Some time ago I had changed the camera selection in Pempro (build 4732) from ASI1 to ASI2 for another issue, but afterwards neglected to change it back. Normally, ASI1 is a 6200mm (main)

Christophe-
To check ( and correct) orthogonality, download the ConeSharp program. Easy to use and accurate.
I use an ASI290 as a guide camera, works very well.

Re: Testing PC connection
I did exactly this with my Mach2 GTOCP5 control box, while waiting for my observatory to be completed. No issues.

Testing PC connection
The weather has been appalling since I received my new AP1600. Wanted to at least make some progress and establish PC connection. Not wanting to setup mount in poor weather, can I power up the CTP4

Re: Very oval stars with excellent guiding - how?
A depression from a thumbscrew has nothing to do with the two parts sitting flat with each other. No need to rotate the QTCC.

Eric’s experience and as Mike pointed out, the way the Quad-TCC attaches to the focuser will be an issue over time. The way most AP accessories attach to there large focusers via a dovetail mount

Re: Can't park facing down
Thanks Ray,
For those of us with domes it's sometimes easier to put the flat panel stationary below the rotating dome and angled upward, then park the scope angled downward to center on it.

Eric,
I see. Have you verified that the ascom driver has the same information as apcc pro regarding user park position?
I'm not an sgp user, I use voyager but have not had the problem. Have you asked

Re: Can't park facing down
Chris,
In APCC I have a user-defined park position that faces down and it works fine in APCC. However, if I go there and in SGPro tell it to set that as the park position, then move the mount

Re: ReCal Procedure in APCC
Hi Mike,
As Roland wrote, the procedure is valid, but be careful. The GoTo coordinates may have been precessed into JNow, while the star coordinates you read may be J2000.
The safest and simplest
