Canoe Moon
Crescent Moon setting on the western horizon in Hawaii. It's called the Canoe Moon by locals since it resembles a voyaging canoe when it touches the waters of the Pacific. Taken with my 92 Stowaway

Re: Mach2 Ethernet

Ethernet cables will not fit inside the hollow shaft of the mach2. The mount would have to grow bigger in size in order to fit another cable. This would make it as large as the 1100 mount.

I’m the one who picked up the 600E QMD that I think was the source of this thread. (My third AP mount.) It will be carrying a 6”f9 scope (not my AP) that weighs about 35 lbs. It looks like new,

I am using an ASI6200MM and ASI290MM Mini. Over time, USB3 download speed is very noticeable in my setup. This full frame camera definitely stresses the systems!
Thanks,
Charles

Hi Steve
I measured the threads on my counterweight shaft. They are definitely not a standard size. The OD is 1.085" with 14 threads per inch. The 14 TPI is fairly common, but the 1.085" major

FWIW, I too would have liked the flexibility and reliability of an Ethernet connectivity on top of the Mach2 (in addition to the usb3)
No to mention the advantages of connector reliability in cold

I will have a NUC, UPBv2, and a mini router up top, and remote in to the NUC via my pc inside. Sounds like the wifi is more than capable.

I just use a mini PC on the tripod leg. CP4/5 connects via Ethernet to the mini PC, and the usb3 connection runs to the mini PC. On top of the scope is my UPBV2 which distributes USB, power, and dew
