Well its probably not related to what you are seeing, but the freshest guidance from AP has been to neutral balance. I made that change on my Mach 2 + AG 12.5" rig, and it definitely guided much

Here is an update on the springs if you are looking for some different options.
I went to the hardware store and found some #127 compression springs in their assortment. The #127 does not mean

When using Dec-Arcs it is important to realize that the all-sky pointing terms may not be very accurate.
For APCC to calculate accurate pointing-terms it needs to have points distributed throughout

The floating-point divide error is displayed being displayed by ASTAP. I've seen ASTAP do this occasionally during testing, but it wasn't consistent. Unless it is often happening, you shouldn't need

Yes I believe so. Disengaged the worms and fine tuned the balance in all axis.
I'm wondering if that actually is the best thing to do? Perhaps a slight bias might ensure the gears are meshed better,

I've made a model with equal points in the East and West.
OTA is a pretty rigid CDK12.5 on a pier and I've tried to minimize any source of flex.
For some reason the West model is always much better

I'm using NINA and got that a couple of times, had to restart the model.
Not sure why that happens.

Re: APPM - error
Hey Ron,
That doesn't look like an APPM message (it would say "APPM" in the title of the window). Are you sure it's not from the plate solver? Let me guess... ASTAP??

APPM - error
I'm trying to finally use APPM. (with nina). I updated my license. (106.00 is there sales tax on a license?) anyway.
I start the Point model and after the first exposure. I get this error.

The problem may be unbalance in Dec. If not that, then we may have you slightly back off the Dec motor belt tension. That will fix it for sure, but is a bit more involved for you to do. Shoot me an
