Re: Does your Mach2 setup look like this?
Quite the setup. The Mach 2 is an amazingly good performer even under significant load. I personally think it's the best encoder mount on the market in it's price range and it's not even close. Would

Mike,
It is always best to tie off the cables to support them.

Re: Does your Mach2 setup look like this?
I use off-axis guiding and lock my focuser, so there is no effect from cables dragging. Might be a problem if you use a separate guide scope?

Re: Does your Mach2 setup look like this?
Hi Roland
I don't have any ringing with my setup but I was wondering if having those cable bundles just hanging off the back of the cameras in your setup can cause guiding issues with non-AE mounts.

That's awesome. I have not had any problems with my 12.5" iDK and PL16803 on the Mach 2. I did not try adding a GTX on top though. I would not have enough counterweights to safely do that though.

Does your Mach2 setup look like this?
In order to see the effects of really overloading the mount, I put about 80 lb of equipment on it and moved the counterweights way down on an extended shaft, as you can see in the image. Yes indeed I

Re: Question: ROLAND’S GTO QUICK STAR DRIFT METHOD - 2020 VERSION
First question; Yes it works even with horrible orthogonality.
This question is quite easy: The parks are governed by the time you have set in the keypad (or your laptop). If you are off by 1 hour,

Re: Jupiter and Saturn with AP 130 EDF
Hi John,
Here’s a photo of the setup. Just need to reach focus with one of the long AP extensions and the camera fully inserted into the 1.25 in eyepiece holder.
Please show us your results.

Thank you for your response. Oddly enough in Win10 the C:\Program Data folder is hidden. Plus you have to rename or copy it to the file name of your choice, and interestingly you can
