TSX and PinPoint should solve the images provided you have the image scale set correctly. Also, TSX requires some additional setup that is described in the APPM help's section.

Search for "socket head cap screw." These are commonly used in astronomy, especially for mounting dovetail plates. Here's a link:

Thx for the pointer. Good point about the washer. The one in the picture is “stolen” from a Machined Knob screw. In the case of the knob : the diameter of the knob is the same as the washer

Dear AP folks
I do find the new licence paradigm, and find it totally fair.
For me, the most interesting news in 1.9 is the new declination-arc tracking algorithm. Could you explain this a bit

That's good information indeed.
In my case I really don't think it has something to do with my computer performance as when I use ASTAP directly I am able to solve almost anything in less than 2

Coming from supporting ASTAP with NINA users, the #1 pitfall we see is that the wrong (or inappropriate, to use another word) star database is used.
Han supplies a bunch of different star databases

Just to be clear, this is a reference to PulseGuide, the software application I wrote almost 20 years ago. This is not the same as the ASCOM pulseguide method.

If you were using SkyX, PinPoint, or PlateSolve2, I would be surprised.

That was my understanding of your analysis indeed.
100% agree on that. That's why I put the quotes to "smarter" (as with everything, syntax is important ;-) )
