Re: Manage Cables Which Plate to Use for Top Mount Hardware?
Hi Alex,
By "Mini PC", do you mean an Intel NUC?
While they often use 19V input, they will work with 12V provided the power source can provide enough current.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the pictures and information. Your setup definitely adds another potential option to the mix and it does eliminate any issues with adding weight to the scope. Also, I noticed you

Hi Terri,
Thanks for the pic! How long have you had your Mach2? Do you like it?
I'm also an EE and I like to tinker too. The Pegasus is very interesting but not within my budget this month as I need

Re: APPM putting each image in separate window
Eric,
BTW, you could instead use APPM's NASA Sky View camera, which allows you to test your plate-solving software.
And, only one window is opened at a time using this camera type.

Re: best power schema for nomad set up
ok, the battery is big enough for everything and has a self built protection.
the only "issue" is the notebook , that need an inverter.

Re: best power schema for nomad set up
I’ve been running AP mounts off 12v batteries directly since 2004.
I used optima yellow tops for quite a while - one for the mount, another for the camera , another with inverter for the computer,

Re: best power schema for nomad set up
Batteries are ALWAYS safer and cleaner than mixing in inverters and converters and power bricks along with batts.
One 12 or 24v batt setup for the mount and a separate 12 batt setup for everything

Re: APPM putting each image in separate window
Eric,
It has always worked this way for a *long* time. I believe someone asked if each image could be in a separate window. I will put it on my todo list to make a change for the next version.

Re: Manage Cables Which Plate to Use for Top Mount Hardware?
Personally, I am not fond of putting anything on the OTA. I think it's messier this way especially with a through-the-mount cabling mount. See pictures of my setup with TEC 160FL and A-P1100GTOAE

APPM putting each image in separate window
Just downloaded APPC 1.8.8.1 and am running APPM using a camera simulator and not plate solving.
Each image returned by the simulator (of M42) is in a separate "APPM -- Camera View" window. Shouldn't

Re: APCC Pro v1.8.8.1 and APCC Standard v1.8.8.0
Hi,
Any other reason for the upgrade? I am using the version 1.8.4.1 (APCC Pro) which has worked perfectly well and I am a bit reluctant to upgrade critical components just for fun.

Re: Manage Cables Which Plate to Use for Top Mount Hardware?
The auto-dew feature on the UPBv2 is a bit ham-fisted at the moment, but it will get some improvements according to Evan of Pegasus.
I was also contemplating a Dew Buster as well before getting this,
