Re: Mach1 play in RA Axis - did not adjust out with Gear Mesh adjustment
If you cannot find the source of the play, perhaps you might send the RA axis in for examination. Just contact the office and ask for a return authorization number.

Thanks so much for the information! Just knowing that others have seen the issue and were able to fix it helps a lot.

Re: Does Howard's email at astro-physic actually work?
Hi Tom,
Based on personal experience, I suggest that you give Howard another call directly. You may have to leave a message, but he'll get back to you. You can also try to call back and get him

Ok. Understood. However I was not made aware of that.
Having emails go into a black hole does nothing for a companies image.

Re: Mach1 play in RA Axis - did not adjust out with Gear Mesh adjustment
Hi Mike - you aren't butting in - any suggestion is appreciated.
Unfortunatley the CW shaft is rock solid - not the source of the play. I checked that multiple times, and the play is sitll there even

Re: Weather station to complement APPC Pro/APPM modeling?

I would use weather service sources for barometric pressure if it was not available on-site. Barometric pressure is going to be largely consistent across a wide geographic area.
You can use the ASCOM

Weather station to complement APPC Pro/APPM modeling?

I'm in the same boat. I talked to Howard on Sep 22. He told me he was knee-deep in a must-do project involving the keypad. Since I was not "dead in the water," he promised to call back once there

May I butt in to ask a basic question?
QUESTION: Is the CW shaft screwed-in tightly?
Put your fingers at the connection between the CW shaft and the housing. Can you feel movement? If so, the answer

Yes, you can tighten the Mach1 with an Allen key. You can lock it up or tighten to any setting in between.

Before you do that, go back to my first post and do what I suggested.
Then, with the lever half way up (90 degrees from fully locked), gently push on the counterweight shaft with 1 finger back and

Ok. Removed the cover for the worm. I did not feel any movement of the Worm when I moved the clutch assembly. So that does not appear to be the problem.
On to the main bearing retainer nut...
