A UPS big and powerful enough to close the roof, along with running all of your gear. Preferably one that supports standard, big, external, lead-acid batteries.

Mice can get through any space larger than 3/8 inch! Copper "Mouse-mesh" works well to fill small holes and gaps. They can chew through plastic and wood.
Barn cats work too.

Re: Equipment for an observatory
I have heard that the ultrasonic varmint repellers work pretty well. You might also try mounting an owl decoy on the roof of your observatory.

Thank you for answering. If not too complicated, it might be worth considering in an upgrade?

Hi Dean,
Personally with a QHY294c (4/3 color) on the AP130 or the C11HD I have no problem to model with SGP / Platesolve2. I only take a 1/2 of the sensor on the AP130.

Hi Morten,
Currently, there isn't a way to do that, but it should be possible to implement either in firmware or via a multi-step slew in APCC.

Re: Equipment for an observatory
As noted, rodents are a potential problem. But please don't use glue traps. They are horribly indiscriminate and will kill creatures that will happily eat mice, or a least won't bother your equipment.

Re: Mach-2 can not reach target
Resolved this problem. The Gerd Neumann ships with a 10mm adapter, and the inside of that adapter was too reflective/shiny. I flocked it with some flocking paper and the problem is resolved.

Will you have someone nearby to assist with troubleshooting and repairs? No such thing as autonomous. If it can fail, it will. Speaking from experience.
