I have yet to need to change my 2009 AP900 GOTO clutch plugs. Both axis move freely when the clutches are loosened. I am conservative on how much I tighten

As a slight aside, if you are imaging the comet, most of my friends who are doing that are using standard sidereal tracking and then handling the integration of the stars and the comet in

By control panel, do you mean the CP3 servo drive controller? Yes, getting moisture in there can cause a problem. You may want to dry it out and try it afterwards.
