The models that we are working on (not the APCC APPM model) will be stored in the CP4/5. The keypad is simply a way to do the modeling routine. It stores nothing but gives you the GUI or instruction

Be careful how far you rotate the mount in azimuth! The “north” leg should always be under the counterweight shaft or your mount/scope setup will become very unstable.

Re: New Keypad Software
Hi Stuart,
Not yet. Keypads have their own, unique serial number. It’s not related to the mount. (Not everyone orders a keypad.) Look on the back of the keypad for the serial number.

Re: New Keypad Software
George, sorry to drag this out but is that 1565GTO the same as my mount's serial number? My AP900GTO is 501. Am I scuppered?

Where are new models data stored?
Are the models stored in the keypad or the GTOCPx?

Re: Rotating pier adapter

Seems you could just drill extra holes in the pier tube to allow more position options. You could also machine slots in place of the holes on the tube and use washers and bolts to clamp once rotated.

Robert,
You are correct. If the keypad is updated to v5.xx, it will no longer work with the CP3 control box. It may be a better decision to update the CP3 to a CP4. You would then have all

Re: New Keypad Software
I should add that the earliest keypads…approximately 1565GTO and earlier…will not accept the v5.xx firmware, as they do not have the available memory.

Peter,
All Keypads can accept firmware version up to v4.19.3. Version v5.xx will require a CP4 or CP5.

Best way to always have the scope point correctly when you first get a mount is to send the mount to Park3. Then place the telescope into the rings, loosen the clutches, manually move the axes until

As mentioned in above post....I have both a CP 3 with a 900 mount and a CP4 with new 1100 mount. It sounds like once the hand controller is updated it will no longer work with old CP3 box....or will

Simply stunning, Jose. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an image of NGC 1398 before. Thanks to your work, it’s now one of my favorites.

Re: Rotating pier adapter

I may have a pier adapter for an AP 900GTO that rotates 360. Finding it is the problem…
It is machined for an ATS pier.

Changing Counter weight and pierside orientation
I am a new owner of a 1100AE. Off course, my first RCal/sync put the counter weight up rather than down. Otherwise, the scope was pointing correcting. Eventually, I was able to fix this but it
