Curious Artifact in Images
So I started imaging NGC2359 back in 2016 and have acquired some data every year since but one thing that plagues the images is an artifact that really is something I don’t seem to be able to track

Re: PEM Pro -- Is Awesome (So is the new APPM!)
Yes. With good automation and a well planned model, I can have it done before I hit astro dark. The improvements in the APPM beta show that unguided imaging is working well.
Give it a try.

Locking for transportation and packing solutions for an AP 1100 go to mount
Does anyone have suggestions for transporting the AP 1100 mount effectively to star parties and dark sky events. I would like to transport the two halves separately using something like Pelican cases.

Wade,
Thanks for the info on smartphone battery life, using aplanetarium program. Good to know.
As for the CP4 versus CP3, the CP4 might be a bit moreaccurate and run coordinate

Joe, I see your points but I’m not considering the CP4 at this time. I have all the functionality I need (for now) with the CP3/V2 chip and hand controller (which I’m quite fond of).

I thought I was using the second router as a switch, apparently not . I purchased an ethernet switch, not a router, and now my IP reservation works. Thanks to Stacey.

Re: Two specific questions about APPM pointing model
Hi,
That is not right. If you move the scope with unfastened clutches you need to sync the scope. After that the model will work again. You need a new model if you change the wight of the scopes.

You can upgrade the chip in your CP3 (if you dont have the V2 chip that is) and that would allow you to use APCC Pro, which has a very good pointing and tracking correction model in it. Similarly, you
