Excellent point about the extra clearance with the old pier. I am definitely going to explore the possibility of the flat surface adapter and flat pier plate, although I think I read in

I also use PHD2 along with SGP without issues. It's the best $99 ever spent for an automation software called SGP.

I’ve used both PHD and MaxIm and have had no problems with either one.
Why do you say that PHD can be very frustrating? Honestly, I think it’s one of the easiest guiding packages out

Currently I use TheSkyX with its Camera add-on. It works reasonable well. In the near future I'll be using MaxIm with ACP for totally automated imaging. FocusMax rounds-out the software.

What guiding program are you using?
Hello everyone,
I have always used PHD2 with my Mach1, but sometimes this can be very frustrating and I wondered what other alternatives there are.
As a capture program I use SGP that works great

Something that immediately catches my attention is that you say that you polar align before putting the scope on the mount and balancing. This is not the recommended procedure. You

I have a permanent mounted AP1600. I do use APCC most of the time, but occasionally I use the keypad, so I will have to check to see if I have Autoconnect set to YES.
Yours truly,

Jack,
If you read the document, it says:
"This applies primarily to permanently mounted systems that have their keypad’s Auto-connect feature set to “YES”."

Hello all
Could you please point me to the proper document describing the procedure to define a custom park position?
This is for an AP1200 GTOCP3 with v2 chip and 4.19.2 keypad, non APCC.
