Planetarium software recommendation (windows)
Hi, I was wondering what software AP users are using to control their mount through Windows. I'm using point to point wifi on a Mach1 with CP4 through my laptop.

As long as location is always the same, it's irrelevant for unparking. Only the local time comes into play because that is the only way for the mount to know what the hour angle is.

Hi Rolando,
I thought location (as well as clock) was used for the first slew to a known object or star after unparking from one of four park positions. So, I normally set the mount to Park 4, power

That is one of the first things I checked, but only locations 1 and 2 are set and both have the identical correct settings. Locations 3-9 are all 0000's. So far I have not found anywhere

If you want to control the mount with just the keypad, set it to YES. If you want the mount to start up with your computer driver, set the keypad to EXT.

I will ask our software engineer about the reason the keypad sets the longitude differently. It may have something to do with your setting of local time.
