Simple to do:
1) place mount in Park3 position. If you have keypad, place Autoconnect = NO
2) turn off power, wait 5 seconds
3) turn power back on
4) with keypad enter location, then New Setup, then

Hello,
As I remember, I think to have made a Sync from Park 3 but it was a long time ago so I am not sure. I will try again.

Roland,
OK, so question 1 is: does an APPM run count as normal "normal slewing"? Question 2 is how do we inept installers fix this problem now?
Thanks,
Kerry

There is not a bug in the software/firmware.
here is the issue: When you install the latest Version 10, it includes an internal limit feature. If you do not follow the install instructions exactly,

I use to do this with StarSense on my C11 on the Alt-AZ mount. Much, much easier. How do you plate solve now?

Thank you Rolando. This is very clear. As Christopher pointed out, I am use to Celestron terminology and procedures which is why I am getting confused despite reading the manual.

If you are starting out for the first time then pick "New Setup". Manually place your scope in the Park3 position (does not have to be perfect), and press "Start From Park Position 3". This
