No problem with the Taka FSQ 106 (Petzval design) I have been using for years for solar imaging.
Material heats when they absorb radiation. Optical glasses are moslty

I justthought of how your big scopes can heat up telescope elements -- fieldflattener. I believe the image comes to focus in the flattener -- so thatwould definitely heat the lenses up.

Yes,it unscrews. Baader makes a special thin adapter ring that replacesit. Then you screw standard T2 accessories into thatring.
