If I loosen the clamps on the sides of the fork and turn the Alt Adjustment knob I can feel that I am lifting the weight of the mount in one direction and I can feel that the mount is being allowed to

I can't think of a reason why that would happen so when you get a chance please upload a driver log file to the files
section so we can take a look at it.

Wait... "seeing it from the top". I'm not sure what that means.
If you grip the knob with the palm of your hand (and afaict there is only one way to to do that) then turn clockwise I'm pretty sure

Pretty sure CCW lowers the altitude.
The knob us just a big screw that pushes against the bottom of the RA.
I'm curious on why you can't see the mount move.
Do you have the altitude lock bolts

Serious problem with new AP V2 ASCOM driver v5.00.00
Hi,
I just istalled new AP V2 Ascom driver (thx Ray) and now can not use AP1200. The problem is very strange! Simply mount stops tracking after 400-600 seconds imaging sesion.

If you are standing on the north side of the AP1200 mount looking south and the altitude adjustment knob is below (seeing it from the top), turning the knob CCW raises or

What Kevin told me was the fac that the Sky 6 thinks when you connect that you are ready to control the telescope and track. It does this automatically. Unless the Sky 6 had a way to park and

Thanks..I was talking to Kevin Iversen from the UNC SKYWATCH program from Chapel Hill. He was at the observatory that evening and told me he saw the same thing as you did from the SKY 6 program.
