I use the ones made by I/O gear and they seem to work with no issues. You do
need to find the com ports and make sure they agree with the software. I
have used an edgeport in the past and it is good

I did precisely the same thing and, in fact, I found a printed copy of the spreadsheet I had
prepared for them within the policy itself once everything was finalized.

Maybe that is where I saw it, in the middle of a lovely backyard garden, or brick patio. I can almost still picture it - I think it housed an LX-10? I do believe I scanned my back issues

Sounds great - but as for the "gate", maybe you can form the wall into a spiral (even an offset square), so the entrance is open, still hidden, but doesn't need a latched gate to handle

covers the mount and is much smaller...just big enough to surround
the mount.
