Glenn: issuing a Sync is a USER intervention and NOT something that TheSky6 does on its own. In what context are you speaking? And if someone really thinks this happens, has anyone ever mentioned it

Hi Josep,
What COM port have you selected? Try several. I can assure you that
COM1 will not be available, and probably not COM2, so just work your way
through the ports up to 10 or so.

That proves my point - who is going to blink first?
Since there is no agreed upon standard for choosing to issue a "Sync or a
Recal", then it makes sense for the AP firmware

previously so perhaps a search of the archives is in order ?. The Sky
doesn't do an RCAL. They (Bisque)apparently know better than Roland and
doing a sync with the scope 1 arc second beyond a flip

I believe both of them do a "sync".
"Additional align" is slightly different as it's adding a data point to
a model. I don't believe either driver (ASCOM or The Sky) knows about
AP's

Navigating the keypad by touch
One of the first things I did when I got my AP1200 was to put a little dot
of epoxy on the Stop key, which makes it easy to find your way around the
arrow keys by feel.

My recommendation for the new keypad would be some sort of moulding on the directional keys to allow you to feel when you have the right button under your fingers as you try to adjust onto a star
