If touch-up paint is available, that's very good news. I need about a pint.
;-) I refer to paint chipping along any of the leading edges of the
mount. Any slightest bump, and the paint is gone.

Rubber/nylon washers are a must, but not just for cosmetics. They greatly
reduce image shift when tightening down. After I purchased my nylon
washers - alignment was much easier.

Yes, with the goto keypad, choose 'solar' as the choice from the object
menu. this will permit you to select any of the visible 8 planets and the
sun and moon

The cases are form fitting. I brought all my equipment to Master Cases, and
they made custom cases for me. I do not know what the materials are but I
understand they are high quality as this company

I purchased 2 cases for the 1200 mount, 1 case for the ota and misc items,
one case for the weights, one case for eyepieces, one case for electronics -
all cost approx $1,000. They are great cases -
