Used Ap1200
Is the 3 to 5 year old AP 1200 the as what you would buy today?
If I wanted to send a used AP1200 to Astro Physics for a checkout what
would this cost and is it generally a good idea to do this.

Re: Waiting List
You might try and watch th eads on Astromart. There have been a
couple of AP 1200s in the cassifieds/auctions over the last month.
Also, put a "wanted" ad on Astromart. You never know....

I have used mine in all temperaturs from +35C down to -25C with no problems.
The specs are just what they tested it to (if that).
I did have an Edgeport die once after a close by lightening

The Edgeport has worked fine for me over several years with temps down to -15c. It even worked down at -22c one night.
Its pretty robust.

Mark,
Very impressive setup.
I am considering an Edpeport/4, but they seem to have several
models. Which model are you using? Does it work reliably on just
the USB port for power?

This is one of the densest galaxy clusters in the sky. I captured
only about 1/9 of the total area with my 58 x 43 arc minute FOV.

I believe that a correction is appropriate.
It was 5&1/2 years in 1999. I bet it is 21 years today.
