Also, you seem to have a lot more Ha than OIII If you mean that I have more Ha exposure, the answer is yes. I have not had enough clear weather to get more OIII yet. Working on it.
I tried some SII, but there is virtually none in the image, so the image consists of just HOO at this point. To get any amount of SII will require at least 1 hour sub exposures, and I don't know if that is worth it.

Hi Bill, As for ASCOM for older SBIG cameras like STF8300 etc. is now available due to work by Cedric R. (very recently released ) executable is here:
I've tested it with my STF8300C and it works very well. I've been able to use SharpCap to calibrate my sensor with this ASCOM driver. cytan

his may be an odd question, but can an AP155EDFS be "rebuilt" into an AP155EDF? Yes, you simply replace the 2.7" focuser with the 4". 6 screws hold it on. Nothing else needs to be changed.

I would love to see that result. I have a 305, but I don't think you can reach focus with a barlow? Maybe I'm wrong. I had a 12.5" RCOS with very large secondary that produced stunning planet views. That was well before my interest in planetary imaging. At times I wish I had not sold it. But the Mak-cass came along as a much easier to handle telescope.
The Mak is pretty much seeing limited in my experience. Seeing has not been so good this season with the jetstream parked overhead.
