Re: Sky Safari - iphone - GTO
Your email was a complete surprise. We had no idea that the new version was released yesterday. Our tech staff has been working with Simulation Curriculum and will post an update of the changes that were implemented later today.
Wobbleworks has also released some updates for Luminos for improved functionality with our mounts.

I just wanted to circle around on this topic. SkySafari 6 Pro released an App update today (1/14) noting “Fixes For Astro-Physics Mount Control”. I won’t be home to test my mount for a few days, but I wonder if this is the update we were hoping for our Mach 2?

Re: Guiding on my plate again - NEED TO IMPROVE
Ron i appreciate your enthusiasm, but alpha software that evolves every week is not what works for me I have a very remote obs and it needs to be 100% reliable (or as close to it as i can). I don't really have time or inclination to work with alpha software that is changing constantly, and presumably having bugs fixed So i would say stability is a feature that is currently lacking in NINA alpha releases Brian

Re: Guiding on my plate again - NEED TO IMPROVE
If you have not tried the current alpha #36 then you have not tired it. It improves greatly each week. The new sequencer with LIVE editing, while it's running and drag and drop interface, is 2nd to none. SGP is linear - you must do things SGPS way... NINA is completely free form. do what you want when ever you want. Sequence is running and you can to jump to another target - make a couple quick easy changes while the sequence is running and target changed... edit exposure or gain during the sequence. Add or change the filter or add 1-2 more targets while it's running the current sequence. No problem. If you are still with SGP - there is no way you have tried the current NINA nightly version. This would be an impossibility. Over 1000 members in the NINA FB group since I started it and most are coming from SGP. As to support... I suggested custom horizons? 2 months later - they were provided.
I shall wait for the new release! --

If it already has the flat plate adapter (119FSA) on it, just get the ADATRI and bolt it on. The Mach2 bolts to that

Adapter for 8” portable pier to Match 2
#Mach2GTO
Hello recently sold my 1100 and kept the 8” portable pier.
But I’m wanting to use it for my Mach2. Was looking for a adapter but couldn’t find one on your website. Am I missing it, or is this not possible? Thanks Tim

It looks like Monoprice has a fiber optic USB cable similar to the Cosemi. Monoprice SlimRun USB-A to USB-A Female 3.0 Extension Cable - Fiber Optic, Black, 32.8ft - Monoprice.com

However, it seems to be fine running to the USB-B port of an Ultimate Powerbox. On the NUC side only one of the USB ports had enough power to power the lasers, so it was a bit trial-and-error to get to work at first. But once it started working, it's been solid since (a few weeks, for whatever that is worth). It's a pretty rigid cable. I'd recommend it for observatories but not portable use.

Re: Through the mount USB3.0 on Mach2 trouble unrelated to temp
Interesting product! I currently use a 65' active usb2 extension cable to connect the Pegasus USB3 hub on my mount to my computer inside my house. Works flawlessly in the summer and fall. I like the lower temp spec (0 C) on the Cosemi fiber optic cable. Thanks for the tip! Don Anderson

Re: Through the mount USB3.0 on Mach2 trouble unrelated to temp
Michael Hopefully you get your usb communication problem solved. I think you will like the features of the Pegasus hub. Besides the cold temp capability, I like the ability to turn ports on and off with the app. Handy for me with my Starlight Xpress filter wheel that sometimes loses communication with the computer and needs to be rebooted. Regards and good luck Don Anderson

That is a nice short repeater/booster for sure. My issue with it is that it has a female connection and so does the mount. So I would have to add yet another connection between. Also it seems to be bus powered. This "booster" can't create energy out of nowhere. My computer is right next to the female USB3 slot in the bottom of the mount and I am using a 1 foot USB 3.0 cable. If the signal and voltage drops that much along a 1 foot cable that I would need a repeater at the end of it, I am not sure what I am even doing. I have a total of 48 inches from the port on the PC to the 12v powered hub. I have 24 inches after the hub to the camera. I have ordered new cables and the Pegasus usb hub. I'll know more in a week. Michael,
The TetherBoost Pro USB 3.0 device has a 5v DC input port, It can be used as powered by the computer USB 3.0 port as well with external power. Do you use a laptop, desktop, or NUK type computer connected to your mount?
