Shipping outside USA
Donghun
Hi
I tried to order an item from AP website and I cannot choose any other country than US as the destination country for shipping. Is AP currently shipping only to US? Thank you Donghun

Mach2 power consumption
#Mach2GTO
I'm wondering what other Mach2 users are experiencing with power usage with their mounts.
Using a Powerwerx watt meter, I'm seeing about 1.05 amps at 13.8V while tracking, as much as 5.15 amps while slewing. I'm powering with a Pyramid PS-15KX supply, and it gets hot. (Still indoors due to lousy weather). These motors are drawing a lot of juice! Is that to be expected? Jerome

Dean, the check box is in the AP driver not TSX. You tell it to treat SYNC as RCAL. Then you're good to go. Stuart Heggie

Re: The SkyX Star Synchronization
Dean, it is in the AP Driver that you have to click a box to use Sync as Recal. Then it will work from TheSky. Geert Vandenbulcke Op ma 25 mei 2020 om 19:40 schreef Mike Dodd <mike@...>:

The SkyX Star Synchronization
I fell silly for asking this question. I have always been a GTO Keypad user and one of the first things that I do when initializing my mount is to slew to a known star, center the star on the imaging chip and then use the RECAL feature on the keypad. THen I am good to go and when I start up TheSkyX, SGP, and PHD2, the software is getting the updated pointing information.
Now I am temporarily without the keypad. I know this has been discussed countless times before and I vaguely remember seeing reference to it in the manuals. But I haven't found it in the Mach2 or GTOCP5 manual yet... Does the Star Synchronization tool in TheSkyX's telescope tab perform the same function as the RECAL? -- Dean Jacobsen http://astrophoto.net/wp/ Image Gallery - http://astrophoto.net/wp/image-gallery/ Astrobin - https://www.astrobin.com/users/deanjacobsen/

Re: PhD pulse guide error
Ray Gralak
Max,
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
There's not enough information to say. For example, did the failure message come from the driver or PHD2? Was the mount parked or tracking? If the scope is near the pole, RA moves will hardly produce any star movement. Also, have you tried looked at the driver log file to see if the PulseGuide moves were actually sent? -Ray Gralak Author of APCC (Astro-Physics Command Center): https://www.astro-physics.com/apcc-pro Author of PEMPro V3: https://www.ccdware.com Author of Astro-Physics V2 ASCOM Driver: https://www.siriusimaging.com/apdriver

PhD pulse guide error
Max Mirot
PhD guider connects to AP driver ok.
When I try to calibrate I started getting a error message that mount did not respond to pulse guiding (failed message). I close PhD then restart and reconnect the drivers. Calibration proceeds normally and guiding works all night. I any suggestions? Max

Re: Mach2 and PHD2 Guiding recommendations
I have yet to take my mount outside. It's been a bad weather holiday weekend, of course. My local club had to cancel its much delayed Spring stargaze/camping trip. But, I've been trying out the new mount indoors. It's a really beautiful machine. Can't say any more than that. I've never seen an A-P mount or had one before, but I decided to buy one on good faith. I'm completely satisfied. I still have to get used to the software's Connect, Park/unpark routine. None of that was necessary with my Celestron CGEM. Also, I'm used to my old Goto mount circling around to approach a target (using Stellarium). The Mach2 just goes there directly. This is soo cool. :) Love this mount! Really looking forward to a night outside! Thanks, Roland! Jerome

This whole data set was taken unguided:
AG Optical 10" iDK | FLI Ml16200 | AP1100 AE
Using my standard 80pt APCC model I always use. Works a charm. I should have actually dialed back the L frames. All subs were 5 minutes.

nice curve, but I think it's the least of things with this frame. But "No modeling or other fancy stuff yet.", I personally went for my 130GT without guidance. Frame received Wednesday 6 p.m., Thursday 1st modeling of 35 points and conclusive tests ... Friday clouds ... Yesterday Saturday 2nd modeling 86 points, with a small series of photos on M109 (cropped version) and a checking of pointing ... the score seems pretty good to me and I still have to know if with the return of deviations below 0.65 arc.min this is correct. But without guidance last night, here, with 14 exposures of 6, 'what I get with my AP130 GT and a QHY294c (recent for me). No longer having to guide is only happiness. Dominique
