My Uncle and cousins grew up in Montreal, and they speak perfect both languages. I was not so lucky, only had French instruction in school. We learned it as a matter of normal education, but did not have a chance to use it, especially after I moved to the US for college.
Wouldn't mind spending a year in Provence so I could retrieve what I forgot (plus the great food and wine there). After that, a year in Tuscany
