And I can’t tell you how pleased and impressed I am with the construction and physical presence of the mount. It looks as though my idea of mating it to my old Meade Giant Field Tripod produced not only a match made in (the) heaven(s), but one that looks that way as well. This rig, as you probably saw in the photo I posted a few days ago, looks like it could carry and fire a 155mm field howitzer. Maybe that PlaneWave 20 isn’t out of reach after all…

Congratulations on your new 1600GTO! There is no Y-cable for this mount. You are correct in your thinking about the motor and encoder cables that connect from the backplate to the GTOCP4 control box. The cable discussion on p. 17 refers to user-optional cables, as you deduced.
