Re: PEMPro vs seeing

Hi Curtis,

Are the results of a PEMPro v.3 run affected by seeing? Slightly? A lot?
Stellar scintillation is always present to some degree. The primary purpose of PEMPro is to create a PEC curve based on data captured over multiple worm cycles, so it is very resistant to poor seeing. That said, you will likely get slightly more accurate results if you let your telescope cool down to ambient temperature so tube currents won't influence the tracking data.
