1314 keystrokes follow

In some cases the length is more important than the weight.

Example:

Need a broomstick or something light, strong and a few feet long
Put a 10 or 20 pound counter weight on a horizontal broomstick so you can slide weigh close to you.
Hold arms out horizontal holding broomstick level with ground and counter weight close to hands.

Notice the torque on your shoulders to keep broomstick level with ground.

Slide counter weight out a foot from your hands

Notice the torque on your shoulders has increased to keep broomstick level with ground.

Slide counter weight out another foot from your hands

Notice the torque on your shoulders has increased to keep broomstick level with ground.

If the weight is too large or the distance from shoulders to weight is too long,
you will eventually not be able to keep the broomstick and weight level with the ground.
The Torque on your shoulders is too much for your shoulders' muscles.

In this example your shoulders are your mounts' worm and worm-wheel.

Torque is a static and linear force and zeroed out if balanced.

Moment of Inertia (resistance to change in speed or direction) varies with
the distance squared from worm.

Length of scope can be more important than the weight of scope.

As always I may be wrong again.
