Transporting counterweight shaft and weights
I made a case to transport the counterweight shaft of my (now sold) AP1200 out of PVC Schedule 80 pipe fittings – was a nice snug fit and worked perfectly. Picture is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hr5p327p4kocrcc/counterweight%20shaft%20case.jpg?dl=0
For the counterweights, I would attach two or three of them to a short piece of aluminum rod of the same diameter as the counterweight shaft, and then put that in one of the small tough bags with handles sold by dive shops for transporting diving weights, such as https://www.akona.com/products/gear-bags/product/~745-WEIGHT-BAG---AKB-#:~:text=The%20rugged%20weight%20bag%20is,drain%20holes%20for%20quick%20drying.&text=Dual%20heavy%20duty%2C%20brass%20YKK,and%20reinforce%20wrap%2Daround%20handles.
