To answer some of your other questions.  I would use these a lot, probably almost every night.  I live in Flagstaff and I use my Tec 200FL practically every night and I view lots of doubles.  Until I bought the AP 1100 mount I was using a Nexus DSC with my Tec 180 on a DM-6 mount and I enjoyed the Bayer and Flamsteed Catalogues the most, the reason being that these are easy to remember the names and the numbers.  I used Struve once in a while and SAO and WDS sometimes but rarely.
