As promised, I have uploaded the polar alignment method that i mentioned earlier. Take a look and see if this would be of use to you. You can use this method for a fixed mount to get precise alignment on the pole, northern or southern hemisphere. For a portable mount you can use this to establish the reference for your polar scope so that you can re-create good polar alignment for subsequent setups in the field.
