I would never give up my keypad. It is a life-saver and makes troubleshooting at the scope so much simpler than back and forth to the computer for everything.

I just ordered a keypad today.  For what it's worth I've been using the AP ASCOM V2 for the past 3 years on my 1100 GTO.  It works well.  But I think the keypad will be great for collimating at the scope and just being able to operate the mount without my PC/phone.  I'm still old school using the CP3 which works just fine in this case.  DJ
