Re: APPM and TheSkyX

Hi Steve,

I am using APCC along with TSX and T Point generated model. What is the best
way to sync the APCC mount position to TSX mount position?
I think you should just use TheSkyX's Sync feature. I think there are a couple different ways to use it, like centering a star in the scope and right clicking on the star and selecting Sync in TheSkyX. Of course you should be connected via the ASCOM driver or have TheSkyX directly connected to an APCC virtual port.

Hi Kerry,

Did you try turning off refraction in TheSkyX? If TheSkyX and Apcc's model are
both applying correction for refraction then the position will be off.

Hi Ray,

I can slew to a star using TheSkyX Pro with the FOV indicator/crosshairs
centered
on the star. Take an image where the star is invariably not centered on the chip,
plate solve that image using APPM plate solve and recal and TheSkyX
FOV/crosshairs are not updated after the recal.

Also, I should be using the ASCOM 2X Mount Adaptor (http://ascom-
standards.org/Downloads/ScopeDrivers.htm#Bisque2x) together with TheSkyX
Pro
and the AP V2 ASCOM Driver instead of the old TeleAPI, correct?

Thanks,
Kerry
