I did get a reply from Eltima as follows:
"Steve,
Our driver appear to be used as an integral part of a third-party software. We are not aware of its implementation peculiarities nor have its source code, and so unfortunately can't offer any help here. Please report this issue directly to the program's developer.

I will check TheSkyX polling rate but all I see is for crosshair updates and nothing under preferences:

Hi Steve,
I'll contact Eltima but for the record I don't use registry cleaners of any brand. I do
use CCleaner for removal of temp file s and so on but not their registry tools.
OK, but you might have been heading that way if you had used some of those tools on that Solvuso site. In general, even Microsoft does not care for the registry cleaner portion of CCleaner, which has been widely regarded as acceptable to use:

Thanks Ray,
I'll contact Eltima but for the record I don't use registry cleaners of any brand. I do
use CCleaner for removal of temp file s and so on but not their registry tools. I sent
Eltima a screen shot of the files I found and their location but not the dump file yet as
it hasn't been requested. What I have received is this reply:
"The latest version is 8.0.412. If you are running an older release, please try
updating: http://www.eltima.com/download/vspd.exe <http://www. <http://www.%0b>
eltima.com/download/vspd.exe> . There is a chance that this problem is already
fixed."
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
It's a third party DLL that gets installed by APCC (like a C++ DLL from Microsoft, or the .NetFramework).
I don't have the source code for it nor am I setup for system level debugging on my computer so I can't help you with debugging a low system-level Windows BSOD. Probably the only support you can get for a BSOD
is from Eltima, whose engineers will likely want you to give them the windows dump file. The BSOD could be caused by many things, including having
used 3rd-party registry and system cleaners in the past, or some other DLL that is interfering. I believe that only Eltima engineers would be able
to identify the driver's crash point with what line of code in their driver caused it.

Ray,
I'm a little confused. Is vserial7 a driver that is installed with
APCC? See
And shouldn't it be updated via Windows update if it's listed under Windows
drivers?
Thanks,
Steve

Chris/Steve,
I would not go to the Solvuso ft web site or use their products.
Norton blocked the site as dangerous when I tried to go to it. AVG confirms:
https://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=solvusoft.com
http://www.avgthreatlabs.com/us-en/website-safety-reports/domain/solvusoft.com
Also, a little research shows that there have been some weird
licensing issues reported by some users (e.g. licenses expiring prematurely,
etc.)

Subject: [ap-gto] vserial7.sys BSOD
Seems lately if I connect TheSkyX to my mount using a virtual
serial port
in APCC I
end up with a Blue Screen Of Death with a message that vserial7.sy
s was
the cause
and a long string of numbers and letters. Using Everything to
search my
system and
APCC shows up as the only program using this file. It's happened a number
of times
and I can't swear it hasn't when TheSkyX wasn't connected. The
last two
times
TheSkyX was definitely connected. This doesn't seem to be an
immediate
issue after
connecting but rather sometime afterward. I can't say the
telescope was
doing
anything at the time of failure as it is likely running s ome
imaging
tasks
through ACP.
I can go out and restart the computer and reconnect everything without
issue. Not
sure where to go from here. Suggestions welcomed.
