That's what I'been doing for years following your suggestions ;-)

I don't recalibrate from one night to the following , as long as the guiding camera is not rotated and the moutn not flipped.

Calibrate once at the celestial equator and use that setting everywhere.

not be done near the pole. So where do you recommend doing calibration? I
normally would calibrate where I am imaging.
