Then I assume that the same thing should have happened on my
machine.
Maybe I'll try to re-install the driver.
I do all astro-proggy installs in administrative mode and run them in
administrative mode as well. However maybe that isn't the correct approach
with the AP driver.

The button click is a single line of code to launch the RAPAS utility so it is probably a corrupted or missing DLL on your computer.
