Why couldn't you increase the length of the primary baffle or stop down the opening of the end of the baffle slightly?

This problem can only be mitigated by increasing the size of your front obstruction.

Could this problem be mitigated by altering the distance of the CCDT67 to the sensor?
I think this reducer has a good deal of flexibility with its backfocus. Would it be worth while experimenting by moving it closer to the sensor at different distances to see if it goes away of flats out? I assume there would be a point where the reduction factor would be too low to be worth while?
