Retransmits indicate a hardware (serial port) problem. If you are using a USB/serial converter and the USB cable came loose the port might have disappeared. Sounds like the low-level USB/serial driver, if you are using one, could have caused the issue.

I'm seeing these warnings in the log.

Does it mean I have a bad cable somewhere?
