HI Bill,

I don't own an SCT, but don't observers, "lock down" the mirror, and rely
on external digital motorized focusers.
That would eliminate mirror flop, in that case.

I hope that some day, the ASCOM driver will have an "orthogonality correction
factor" Table, for use with several swappable OTA's, and DSLR's which might be
attached to a mount.

In theory this sounds good. But in practice the only two scopes that
could be aligned to each other would be the refractors. The SCT has a
moving primary mirror and this fact alone will introduce random errors.
