I was wondering if most ship from the factory set close to the
proper latitude for the location of the buyer?

That would be nice indeed. But what if your tripod was on uneven
ground?
Or what if you decide to set up in the back yard rather than the
front?<g>

By the way, what is your latitude exactly?
