Well, that is an interesting idea. Most of the time, when you go to an object
like that, you will be wanting to track it for a while, but not always. There
are times that I go to the Moon or the Sun only to get a first fix on the sky
when it is too bright to pick up anything else. The next object would then be
a star or planet, which would allow me to further refine my polar alignment.
I do mostly imaging, which means I want to track sidereal at all times.
