Re: AP900GTO Guider Question
Gedas
Thanks Roy. The reason I asked was because Orion has a new fairly inexpensive cooled imager that comes with MaximDSLR and can be used for autoguiding but it requires a mount with RS-232 interface and be ASCOM compliant. Since the 900 appears to be ASCOM it looks like I need to do is come up with a 232 interface cable between the PC and mount and I might be on my way :')

The original AP command set was based on the LX-200 platform but has evolved significantly beyond that and is much more capable. Using ASCOM can be interesting if you are not familiar with the concept. -----Original Message----- From: ap-gto@... I have an AP900GTO that is just now starting to be used. A CCD guider I am thinking about purchasing talks about mounts adhering to either the ASCOM or LX-200 platforms. Can someone tell me which platform this mount adheres to? Thanks, Gedas e-mail w8bya@... To UNSUBSCRIBE, or for general information on the ap-gto list see http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ap-gto Yahoo!
